Dr Seuss meet and greet!
Part 1

Green Hill students wrapped up Read Across America Week in style with Cat in the Hat Day! 🎩📚 Students showed their school spirit by dressing in the classic black, white, and red inspired by the beloved The Cat in the Hat from the book The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. From striped hats to creative outfits, the hallways were full of fun, imagination, and a love for reading as we celebrated the joy of books together. ❤️🤍🖤 Great job to all of our students, staff, visitors and guest readers for making this week a wonderful celebration of literacy!

Look who popped in at Green Hills today! We had a surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat!

Our kids in 1st grade had a blast listening to Steve Daniel and Kelly Witt today. We truly appreciate them taking the time to read to us!

Mrs. Caldwell's 4th grade class had a blast celebrating the end of our CKLA Unit about the American Revolution!
☕Students began their day by boycotting tea and drinking hot apple cider instead.
✒️Next, we used a feather and ink to sign our own copy of the Declaration of Independence.
🔍Students then acted as a spy for the Continental Army and drafted a secret message for General Washington.
💔Last, students created their own "break up" letter to Great Britain and King George III.
