🐝The kindergarten classes were “busy as bees” last week learning many interesting facts about bees. After reading books and watching informational videos, the students set to work creating their own bees from popsicle sticks. They practiced pollinating flowers using their bees and cheese powder. To end their week, the classes were surprised by some very special visitors who further fueled their fascination with bees. They learned more interesting facts, saw the smoker used in the hives, and even got to see the bees in action. One of their favorite parts of the visit was getting to see and try on the special coat the beekeepers use when tending their hives. It’s safe to say kindergarten was buzzing with excitement!
