Drop off/Pick up Information

At Black Mountain Elementary, the safety and well-being of every student and staff member is our top priority. We want to make you aware that our school will continue to be a nut-free environment. We have students and staff with severe and life-threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts.
Even small traces of nuts, whether through direct contact, shared surfaces, or airborne particles can cause a serious allergic reaction. To create a safe and inclusive space for all, we ask that families do not send any food items containing peanuts, tree nuts, or nut-based products in lunches, snacks, or classroom treats. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Peanut butter and Nutella
• Granola bars with nuts
• Trail mixes or snack mixes containing nuts
• Purchased goods made with nut oils or flours
We understand this may require extra care when shopping for treats, but we deeply appreciate your cooperation and support. By working together, we are helping to protect everyone whose daily lives are impacted by these allergies.
If you have questions, please reach out to me or the school office.
Thank you for helping us make our school a safe environment for every child to learn and grow.
