Congratulations to our Harlan County Middle School Black Bears on winning the 2025 Kentucky Middle School Fastpitch Championship Wednesday at Harlan.
Led by Coach Andrew Burton, the Lady Bears claimed a 11-5 win over Cumberland early in the evening to earn a berth in the title game against Harlan.
With the championship the season ends for the Bears as they compiled a 19-5 record.
Maddy Fields was named the tournament Most Valuable Player.
All tournament team members included Raegan Landa, Bella Miniard, Jaylin Robinson and Bella Ford.
The Bears had losses to Corbin, Rockcastle and Whitley in the regular season, along with a pair of losses to Harlan.
The league also features teams from Middlesboro, Bell County, Barbourville and Lynn Camp.
