The first event was the Raider event consisting of crossing a one rope bridge, carrying a medical litter with a person on it for 100 yards, and navigating a very wet and slippery obstacle course. This event was a timed event and each team was required to have 4 males and 2 females participating. The second event was a one mile relay consisting of 2 males and 2 females, the Black Bear Raider team finished with a time of 5:45. The third event was a mystery event where you were given the instructions of how to compete when you showed up. The event consisted of a grueling uphill climb of 150 feet for 4 team members consisting of 2 males and 2 females, and then organizing a puzzle of the JROTC Cadet creed into its proper order. The fourth and final event was a tug of war in a tournament format consisting of 5 females and 5 males. The Black Bear Raiders polished off the first two schools until finally meeting its match against the Jellico, TN High School.
