Black Bear Bookstore

The Harlan County High School Black Bear Bookstore is open for business and designed to meet student and school supporters needs for academic supplies and spirit items, according to marketing teacher Jonahan Wireman.

Wireman said the student-operated business will provides opportunities for students to have hands-on experiences in the retail marketing and advertising promotions classes. The retail marketing classes are responsible for merchandise and display, while the advertising promotion classes are responsible for promoting the store to the students, staff and community.

The store has been extremely popular and a constant attraction. Offering everything from t-shirts and hats, to key chains and Black Bear blankets, the store is sure to have just what you are looking for. There are a number of Black Bear designs on display, with more sure to come. The only issue the new store has had is attempting to keep items in stock.

If you have questions or comments about the store, please contact Jonathan Wireman at 574-2020, ext. 3568/3552.
